Find out what problems your product/service is solving. Is it something people would pay for and how many (ie population size) would actually pay for it? People may really like the idea but they must want or be able to pay for it to be successful.

Also find out what your customers value in regards to your products/services. It may be fast delivery, qualified staff, packaging of the product etc.
